5psi? you will be in 15s most likely...high ones at that...what kit are you looking at, and why so little boost? you should do at least 7psi.

I've heard of people running 7psi on DX motors and it doesn't do anybad to their motor. Maybe low 15's @ 7psi.

I heard that Honda blocks can handle 7-8 psi without modification, at least this is true for the B-Series. I'm pretty sure D-Series can do the same.

I run 7.5 psi on my d16y8 intercooled with the Greddy and have no detonation whatsoever. 8 psi is the highest I've heard you should go untuned on a stock d-series.

hope you will make better 1/4 mile then high 15 !!!! i do 15,9@89,5 with a D15B vtec 123 HP !!! and you would make i think, like at 4-5 PSI, some 170-180 HP (NOT WHP) if you have 125HP now (stock) witch will bring you 14.98 PROX. on the 1/4 if waight is about 2470 LBS and 170 flywheelHP !!

boosting over 5PSI would not be the way !! with out serius engine changes !!
and on a turbo or supercharged CAr with stock engine never try for top speed !!
you WILL fry the engine !!

hopes this help some !!

we did a custom turbo kit with a supra turbo on a 98 civic DX a couple yrs ago and it did a 13.8 on slicks.
Bone stock motor and everything else.
I believe it was doing 7lbs at the time.

Tuning, tuning, tuning!! Ive heard many impressive results from turbocharged D16's upping boost up to 10-12psi on stock internals, but proper fuel management and tuning is the key element in all these equations. DO NOT try to slap the turbo kit on as is, and just up the boost.
