Default 00 SI slight overheat..

Been driving the car for a while now without any problems what so ever until today. I left my buddies house and while driving on the freeway I started to notice my heat gauge go up about 5/8's of the way and then after about 20sec went back to normal where it always was.
Got home checked it out everything seems to be working properly, fan kicks in, fluids all checked out, everything is good from what I can see.
Anyone know what could be causing this?

PS. Just got an oil change about a week ago, everything checked out great no problems.

Have you had the system serviced recently, new coolant or opened?

Sometimes it will go past 1/2 up on the gauge and then the fan kicks on to cool it down.

Try this, drive for 20 mins or so, park it and let it run and watch the gauge, the fan should kick on when it goes a little past 1/2 way on the gauge, see if the fan is kicking on late.

So I ran it today for about 30mins while I was driving it started to get warm then dropped back down to normal pretty quickly, I then parked it and checked the fans.. It seems as there are 2 fans, the one on the right kicks in while the one on the left doesn't seem to be doing anything. Not sure if that could be the problem or not.

Clarify are you talking a view from the drivers seat then see below.

The one on the left is for the AC condensor, and will run when the AC is on.

The right is for the rad, if that is kicking on, that is a good sign.

Yes from the drivers seat.

It works but is it kicking in late or whats up? or maybe something else could be the problem?

Have you checked the coolant level? if it is low it can causes these signs.

It can't hurt to bleed the system as well, a little air in the system can cause this as well.

So i finally figured it out, the fan is kicking it late and or not kicking in as of now. Not sure what to do..., maybe replace the fuse or what do you think?

Not a fuse, if it is a blown fuse it will not turn on at all.

As for the fan it will not come on often only when needed, typically if the car is run a long period of time and when it reaches a certain temp.

Either a thermo switch, or bleed the system first.
