Default EK3 overheating

Okay, for Some reason my temp gauge is rising after fast driving. On the highway there isn't any problem but when I drive to my house slowly temp is rising for some weird reason.

Car is not overheating!!

If I drive normal there isn't any temp rising only after fast driving.

Already bleed the rad for air and I thought it was all good until now.

Also temp gauge is reacting when I switch the lights on (xenon).

Both hoses are hot, fan Kicks in, no sludge on oilcap or rad cap..

Oh and today the fan kept going when I had the car on contact. If I start the car then the fan stops! (This was when the car was hot and after I drove away from the gas station) Never had this before.

So what could it be? Bad rad, bad fan (not full blast spinning) thermostat, temp gauge?

It's a EK3 hatchback.

I have no idea! But could that be it? Then the fan shouldn't kick in right?

Both hoses where warm and no overheating and no rising in temp when fast driving.

The rad isn't really in top condition so I thought that could be the problem?

Also the overflow reservoir is filled to the max (had it on min when I bleed the system)

Did Some normal driving and when the car stands still and when I let the car idle for a couple of mins temp gauge Goes slowly up..

The fan does kick on but temp is not really going down.. It's a little above the midsection

Anybody?

Replace thermostat and bleed the cooling system. It is the cheapest initial way to properly diagnose if you have an advanced problem.

You should also inspect heater hoses behind the thermostat housing for any wear, sponginess, cracks, or signs of age.
