00 Civic no-crank problem

Default 00 Civic no-crank problem

Here's my dilemma I installed a new starter in my car (2000 civic) yesterday and it started with no problem, so I come out this morning to leave for work and nothing not even a click so I disconnect the neg bat term and reconnect it starts, so to me sounds like a bad connection there, so I need to know wat u guys think

update- ive checked all connections and fuses and everything is good but still wont start its acting as if the battery is dead, but its a new battery and i even tried jumpin it still had no luck so if anyone could help i would really appreciate it thanks.

Have you checked the rubber stopper (red arrow) that presses on the starter switch located at the top of the clutch pedal?

i checked the switch not the rubber stopper didnt think of that, i did take the lamp relay and switch it with the starter relay it worked a couple time then stopped again

Default starting problem

so i installed a brand new starter in my 95 del sol si, it started with no problem a 3or4 times came out the next morning and i got nothing as if it was dead tried jumping it still got nothing, took original starter relay switched it with the original lamp relay since there the same it stared great drove it a couple miles came out the store half hour later and same thing again nothing not even a click, but if run a wire straight from the starter signal plug to the positive battery terminal it fires right up, and i also checked the signal switch on the clutch please help

just checked the stopper its good, the funny thing is i can start it but i have to hook a wire up to the signal connection on the starter and touch the positve on the battery term and she will fire right up

The problem is likely the connection on the signal wire, but may be something else in the wiring. I would try closing the gap in the female spade connector that goes to the spade terminal on the starter a little. This is the issue most of the time especially when the starter has recently been disconneted.

I had the same problem. Turns out to be my alarm and auto start that was making my car not start

well its not the alarm, so ima check the signal wire, wat gets me is it started a few times when i switched out the relays it worked then just stopped

well figured it out, it was my buddy club secu-timer thje main control box shorted out but thanks for all the help
