00 Civic EX -- Flickering lights
I have a 00 civic ex, I've been having a problem lately with my lights rapidly pulsing under certain load conditions. It rarely happens at idle but most often when cruising at highway speeds. I had my charging system checked at the parts store and it checked out fine. Cleaned the battery terminals, new plugs and wires. Also when idling if I just tap the gas slightly the rpm will drop back down to about 250 for maybe 5-10 seconds and then return to normal about 500. Any ideas on what would cause the light problem and rpm drop? Would a corroded distributor cap or rotor cause this? Any help is appreciated, thanx in advance.

Re: Flickering lights
With the engine off, what voltage do you measure across the battery terminals?
With the engine idling and everything electrical off, what voltage do you measure across the battery terminals?
With the engine idling and the high beams, HVAC, and rear defroster on, what voltage do you measure across the battery terminals?
