~Weird Prob: 95 Civic Coupe~
Ok so here is the turn of events idk what is going on with this car but just started acting up 3 days ago.
Weather Conditions: Cold and Rainy
Car: 95 Civic Coupe 5sp
D15b7
CAI
Day 1: got up in the morning drove car to work ran perfectly fine, got off at 3pm drove it to my Girls house stayd their till 10pm ish on the way home made it about 3 miles and CEL came on comming around a turn and car just died. (something like this happned to me in my EK and it was a rotor that came off the shaft) first off i tired cranking it over again and it just cranked but never turned over.so i started thinking it was the same thing as my EK. So first off i went and just pulled my ECU out so if needed i can run a test(im paying attention to this) then went and checked if i had spark..non. so i went home to get some tools car sat for about 15 20 min pulled the cap off, and checked it out..everything seemed fine, went back in to start it, and started right up like normal.
Day 2: got up car started fine for work. car sat for about 16 hours as my girl picked me up from work just in case something happened again. she dropped me off at my car at 10pm turned car on CEL light was on again cranked but never started...so thinking again the dizzy cap i took it off and checked it everythign was fine, checked fuses all them were good. turned car on to see that my fuel pump wasn't turning on, no clicking from the realy so i started thinking fuel power issue? went home left car to sit again for 4 more hours had to be at work at 2am got to work cranked it..nothing. so i got to the ecu pulled it so its laying down on the ps floor. before i did the test noticed my FP turned on so i cranked it and it started right up agian...
So my question is, what the hell could this be? does honda have a Fuel cut off switch or somthing? could my realy be going bad? IS their some kind of hydro lock sensor that won't let my car start? never got a chance to see what CEL code it was throwing..but what i noticed now is that it can't be the dizzy after this 2nd time, and after messing with the ecu it started...
any input would help.
im lost soooooooo lost and so are my buddies

kk i will check it out. but would a fuel filter not have my fuel pump kick on anyhow? and if it was a filter wouldn't the car start just sputter a bit?

it could be a loose ground on the fuel pump mount. Either that or the fuel pump is going bad. I recently had a issue that was similar to that a couple days ago, i swapped in my stock fuel pump and it fixed the issue.

well i don't think its the Fuel pump or the Realy, because when i turn the car on i don't here the fuel pump...then i just move my ecu and it come one and the CEL light goes off...
im thinking bad ECU or wire going into it?
any thought?
i had a honda buddy of mine say he was 99.9% sure it was the Fuel realy...so idk

just went out to try the CEL test and for some reason its not working...and my connector is blue? like the EKs sooo confused but all i got to do is move my ECU a bit and it works..
pulled the ECU apart corrison around the casing...cleaned a little bit of it off.nothing seems to be touching the circuit board...im soo lost..
about to just say screw it and go on like what is it...
any input to help with the CEL light...im curious to see what actualy code its throwing...

Your fuel pump could be on its last leg, burning up and dying then when it cools it runs fine but as soon it heats up it shuts down.
