[FAQ] What parts are interchangeable for all 92-00 Civics?

Re: [FAQ] What parts are interchangeable for all 92-00 Civics?
Any one know what rear view mirror I could use/swap in my EK.
It seems like all EK's suffer from loose rear view mirrors.
Mine moves around since my suspension is set to stiff, add the weight of an aftermarket mirror to the equation. ..
All the EK mirrors @ the pick & pull were all loose too.
I looked @ 7th gen civic mirrors, but they looked a bit different in the way they mount up.
5th gen connect by a button on the windshield.

Re: [FAQ] What parts are interchangeable for all 92-00 Civics?
As someone mentioned earlier, the Del Sol Si rear brakes will bolt up to coupes, but the e-brake cables are not long enough on an EK chassis. I can confirm that this is also true for the 93-95 coupe chassis as well.
I'm going to try the same setup on an EG hatch though, before I get the thing up in the air and torn apart, can anyone confirm if the e-brake cables will be long enough for the hatch?

Re: [FAQ] What parts are interchangeable for all 92-00 Civics?
I read every word of this dinosaur post.
Great info, need to know stuff.
I need to know what doors interchange with which. I have a 00 hatch with crank windows. The crank gear is cracked and needs replaced, and the door smells pretty freaking funky inside with the window. I'd rather replace all the interior components and clean it with bleach and nuclear compounds. If I can, can I swap the parts (except the glass) from other years??
I need:
Crank
Gear
Window rail
Everything
Thanks. Wish I had something to offer. All I did was put a D16Y8 tranny in the D16Y7 and swap out the O2 sensors with better ones. The stock Y7 O2 sensors kept setting off the CEL when I put a 2.5" pipe front to back. I replaced the stock header (D16Y7 has the Cat in the manifold) and swapped the whole system to an ex style exhaust. You will probably need new O2 sensors and wiring extensions if you want to do this - I did.
That's my contribution.

Re: [FAQ] What parts are interchangeable for all 92-00 Civics?
OEM Parts I've personally installed on a 94 CX hatchback:
- 93-95 EX 2-door door pockets added to my crank window doors
- S2000 interior door handles
- RSX Din pocket with door
- CRV P7J AC bracket (adapts stock compressor to B-series)
- GSR/ITR 24mm front sway bar
- ITR front LCAs (sway holes & special compliance bushing)
- GSR rear LCAs
- GSR 13mm rear sway bar
- ITR 22mm rear sway bar (requires ASR brace)
- DC Rear Discs
- DC2 2dr e-brake cables (required 1 chassis drain hole be used as a bolt hole)
- 93-95 EX 2dr or Del Sol VTEC non-abs front discs
- 93-95 EX 2dr or Del Sol VTEC non-abs master cylinder (7/8")
- DA 4040 proportioning valve (fits ok with DA bracket but switched to EG bracket for better fit)
- DC front strut tower bar
- DC front lower subframe brace
- Del Sol VTEC dual core half-radiator
- JDM EG6 Curved rear Gathers speakers
- JDM EG6 P30 Airbox lower half (has insulation blanket inside)
- EG2/EG6 P30 Airbox lid (has more volume and smooth-radius inlet)
- JDM NSX Type R Horn Button (works with aftermarket steering wheels)
- JDM ITR Recaro front seats
- JDM ITR Recaro DC2 front seat rails
- JDM ITR Shift boot
- JDM ITRx Pedal set (brake pedal has to be drilled off & bolted over US pedal)
- JDM ITR 97-spec B18C & transmission w/ OEM 32mm axles
- JDM ITR Gold shift linkage (no counter weight)
- JDM ITR Titanium weighted shift ****
- ITR DC2 rear seat upper halves (these bolt in but fit like crap, better reupholster stock ones)
Parts I have, but have yet to install:
- JDM EG6 power folding mirrors (require the mounting bases and passengers side glass to be swapped, and build your own wire harness).
- EK mirror mounted tweeters (I've seen photos of these in an EG, but it looks questionable)
Parts that fit EG I want to purchase:
- JDM ITR front LCA inner bushing (has a type-r part number we didn't get in the US)
- JDM ITR 98-spec rear UCAs (has a different tubular-steel design than standard stamped UCAs)
- ITR front lower sway mount bushings
- ITR rear sway bar end links
- ITR 3 engine torque mounts (front 2 requires modification to the frame rails on EG)
- US NSX Titanium key (actually made of Monel)
- 93-95 EX 2-door door pockets added to my crank window doors
- S2000 interior door handles
- RSX Din pocket with door

Re: [FAQ] What parts are interchangeable for all 92-00 Civics?
I have a 92 integra gs, I just bought it a couple days ago and like a dummy, I waited until now( it's snowing) to check the heat. It does not blow anything. I pulled the glove box to wiggle the relay and was hoping for an easy fix. There was nothing there. I know nothing about heating/cooling systems. I am not even sure how to check to see if everything is even in the car to make the heat work( blower motor, resistor, relay) could anyone please help me with pics and instructions on where to look an what I should look for? Also let me know if I am able to pull parts from civics and what civics can I pull from?

Re: [FAQ] What parts are interchangeable for all 92-00 Civics? (kleanlscivic)
Is this a complete thought?
2dr (coupe) Integra, trim level doesn't matter, rear upper seat are a direct bolt in. The rear lower fits, but will have a gap between the upper and lower seats. Google it.
You can use the rear lower from the 4dr (sedan) Integra. It won't have the gap between the upper/lower seats, but it will on the forward corners because the stock Civic lower seat is rectangular and the Integra sedan isn't so much.
eH.

Re: [FAQ] What parts are interchangeable for all 92-00 Civics?
Just keep in mind that even though they "bolt in"....that doesn't mean they look good. I put ITR rear uppers in my 94 hatchback and they definitely don't fit as well as the original seats. There is about a 1 inch gap where they don't meet the rear cargo cover, and sides seem a little squished.
It would probably be a better investment to have your original seats custom upholstered.
