Default **HELP** Odometer Swap Question

Hey all,

I need some help with an odometer swap. I have a fairly low mileage 1995 Civic CX hatchback, 84,XXX. I just got a gauge cluster from a Civic EX that reads 112,XXX miles, I'm not sure I really want to add those 30,000 miles onto the body so fast. If noone can help me, not a big deal since I am swapped and don't plan on selling the car, but it'd be nice to keep the same mileage. Anyways, anyone know how? Thanks a lot.

Also, I'm having trouble actually getting the current one out. My friend told me there is a hidden screw to get the bezzel off behind the four way flashers, I popped off the button and saw nothing but the part it attachs to, anyone?

-Rob

Remove the gauge bezel by pushing in the clips. Behind the speedometer are like 3-4 screws. Unscrew them to remove the speedometer/odometer from the cluster housing. Swap the CX speedometer/odometer into the EX cluster housing. DONE.

So there are no screws that hold the cluster together? Just the clips?

there arent any screws holding the plastic cover on, just clips.

there's supposed to be a screw behind the hazard switch. if it's not there, then someone removed it before. just take the dash bezel off. then there are 4 screws holding in the gauge cluster. remove them and remove the plugs.

There is two screws above the cluster on the plastic, and one behind the hazard button. Then gently pry it out and it will come out.

Figured it out, thing was a bitch to pry out, did it gently and it didn't come out, so I gave a little more and a piece broke off, atleast it gave me better access to it to pry it out so I could do it. I guess I'll need some super glue.
