**Fix for Dash Lights not working**
Also check out this thread for normal troubleshooting of this issue

I had been round and round with this problem over the last couple of years....
Been to the junkyard twice for replacement dimmer modules.
Recently the problem happened again... argh !
Feeling the need to actually find out what is going on with the dimmer, I pulled it out, dissasembled and went over it with a fine eye....
Findings:
-- All looked good:
- No burnt comonents
- Solder Joints all looked good
- Then went through and tested each: diodes, transistor, potentiometer,
resistors, caps --> all passed
Retryed in car --> still not working
<Scratch Head> WTF.....
Pulled dimmer out again and thought, let me reflow all the solder joints even thou they all look great (under a lighted magnifier)...
Reflowed all the big components and a couple of the larger surface mount resistors and caps....
Reinstalled and BAM ! I got lights again !
If you are having the common dash light issue, try this before running to the wrecking yard..... and let us know if it solves your issues...
Sidenote: Also pulled open my tool box and dug out another "broken" unit and did the same thing to this one... Bam! Now I have a spare. LOL

To add another cause can be after an aftermarket stereo install any of the wires related to it being grounded will cause the 7.5A fuse to blow. The electrical tape can loose it's stick and fall off revealing the bare wire I had that issue and just recently fixed it.
