Icon2 **99 Si bogging down at WOT and other issues**

99 si, stock b16a2 stock harness, stock ecu. all it has is a CAI and headers
i can step on it about 90% but wenever i step on it it bogs down, also in 3rd 4th nd 5th gear feels weak in high end. another issue ive noted is dat wenever i change my oil, my oil filter barely has oil. maybe a oil pump goin bad? i know somebody must have this problem or something pretty close to it. Help me out guys!! thanks

Don't know what 90% is supposed to signify. 90% of what?

When was last full tune up?

Weak in the high end doesn't tell us much either. Weak as compared to what? Has it always been this way or is it a recent occurrence?

90% of throttle, i just bought the car recently so i changed the oil and sparkplugs a month ago, and weak in high end as in it feels like a 87 d15b7 lol it feels sluggish in all gears after third.

B16 aren't all that. Unless you have something to compare it to I think what you have is perfectly normal.

Oil and spark plugs don't constitutes an full tune up. Cap? Rotor? Fuel filter, etc.

i know b16s lack torque but it just feels weird. like something is holding the engine back from working 100%. And no i havnt changed the cap or rotor since its getting spark in all 4 spark plugs. Im goin to try to change the tps and see if that fixes the bogging down.

also forgot to mention. whenever the car is cold it sounds like its breaking up, like a sputter but then it goes away as it warms up.

i would try and look at your data list if you can you might be able to find a issue just by looking at it. to me it almost sounds like a crappy o2 sensor. i have seen cars not throw a cel but run like crap because of the o2

The car does have a CEL its threw the o2 sensor code. Nd fuel bank 1 lean, if I can rememver correctly

It might just be ur tps cause it's happened to my h2b last week. when it warms up and driven for about ten min or so it starts to act up bogging and low idle. Still drivable vtec still kicks but like u said something is holding it back..

It is your o2 sensor if it the Cel is said its lean

Well im tryin to see if I can find a o2 from one of my friends and check if it works. But I still dont get why my oil filter is dryy -_-

What do u mean by dry? No oil at all? If so take your oil pan off and check your oil pick up can be clogged by the screen or the oil pick up is loose and u should check n see if you have oil pressure

Replaced tps, problem still occurs... FML and yeas it has some oil but I know is supposed to have alot more than that

My GSR has been acting up in this same manor recently throwing a cel like every other day im going to try and put new plugs hopefully that fixes it, but I have had the feeling that it might be a o2 being thrown due to the faster consumption of fuel and the off and on nature of the cel being thrown
