Washed once maybe, every three months, daily driven, I did notice that when I didn't have my splash guard in, it did get dirty faster. Maybe that is the trick !!

I used to daily drive this car and the engine stays clean. if you just wipe with damp towel the engine bay everytime you clean your car. then every 4 months use engine brite. worked for me. Now I only drive the hatch on weekends.

That might help a little but with half the grill open I'm sure it will still getting dirty fast. When I bought mine it didn't have it, I'll have to try and find one and see if it helps any.

It's an engine bay. It's supposed to be somewhat dirty. That **** ruined the speedometer on my 93 Corolla. I'll never use that stuff again.

simple green works better. I went for the foam version of this can and then use simple green. I like simple green alot better.

Just used the foamy one today and I wasnt very impressed actually, Im getting the best results by just using my wash mit and meguires car soap after Im done washing the outside, I just wash down the engine bay just like i do the body and it comes out awesome

define "wash Down". Because your engine is already pretty damn clean!

The engine below was one dirty biotch before I cleaned it. Only has 25k miles too. I used Simple Green to clean this dirty pig up. I'll try the foamy stuff in my bay though.

Default Engine Brite Citrus

Yeah, to get back to Engine Brite, I used the Gunk Engine Brite too, but I got the citrus-scented one. Well, it did the job, but for the first two weeks or so, whenever the engine heated up, it smelled like somebody was grilling oranges under the hood. Doesn't help that my car is painted lemon yellow. Plus, it made my hoses look all dull, didn't like that.

i know cd2 works great! I don't know bout the deteriation though. I recommend some stuff called awesome orange as far as the aluminum parts I don't know how well it will work on plastic or if it will eat it a little. it works ******* awesome and the best part is it's available at the dollar store.

i found that if yo have a problem with the hoses dulling you can use that tire shine stuff and it makes them look awesome, you can you is on wireloom and all sorts of stuff for the "wet look"
