No scrubing done here....

first off.

Its better if the motor is warm( you can still touch with hand). Dont do it when it is hot.

1. cover distributor with paper towels, then wrap it with a plastic bag. cover
battery, fuse box and alternator with cloth or lots of paper towels.
2. spray "gunk remover" all over engine bay and let it sit for a good 20-30 minutes.
3. rinse with water. make sure its only light sprinkles. No high pressure...
4. No wiping required, just let it air dry. I recomended not to turn on the car 3 hours after rinse.

5. while waiting for it to dry. why not detail the inside of the car.

good luck peeps

FYI. . .the "foamy" version of engine brite works 10x better. Same price, different color cap I believe.

I usually turn my car back on after rinsing. The heat will evaporate the water, but whatever works.

The "Foamy engine brite" works even better than just the degreaser.

after i cleaned my motor i covered up the distributor, the header, valve cover and other parts. i then painted my block, head (not valve cover), tranny, distributor (not the distributor cap) with high heat aluminum paint. my motor came out looking very clean. i will try to post some pics up when i can.

Cleaning engines is great but after u drive around its just going to get dirty again. I cleaned mine and it looked like the ones above, then it rained the next day, and it was dirty again.
