Looking for opinions on a car Im considering picking up. I found a 98 Civic EX coupe for sale. It only has 135k original miles and is in excellent shape inside and out other than 1 dent by the gas tank that can be easily fixed. There is absolutely no rust but the engine spun a bearing 2 years ago and the car has been sitting in a garage ever since.

I can buy it for $800. What do you guys think? Is it worth it?

Still looking for opinions on the civic im looking into. 98 civic ex 135k miles 5 speed excellent condition cosmetically but spun a rod bearing 2 years ago and has been sitting in a barn since. Got him down to $700. Is this a good deal or a waste of money?

So I went and picked up a parts car for dirt cheap, lots of new and used, name brand parts. car also came with a set of wheels.

I'm keeping the rest of the parts and selling the wheels. Just kinda wondering how much would people pay for something like this. these are Original Rays Wheels, Grams Lights, Wheels are engraved and have original stickers on the back they are used with 2 real minor imperfections 2 nickel sized curb encounters but very fixable if taken to the right person. they are 17 in size and have ok tires. This is the only picture I have at the moment, sorry for being so crappy.

It's a good deal, I'ts a fair price with lots of potencial for a project or even as a daily driver. a used engine shouldn't be hard to find, swap it yourself in one weekend and save money.

Clean title? In "good" condition, the car is worth $2500-$3000. You can get a replacement motor for under a grand. Even if you didn't need the car, I would buy it, drop a rebuilt D16Y8 in it, and flip it for a profit.

I think it's a great deal! I would jump on it now, swap a B series motor in it and get A/C and whatever else you wanted to do to it done, and have a quick reliable DD. For a long time!

If you've got the space and the wherewithal to swap out the motor, then yes it's a good deal. I can find a B18 non-VTEC around me for $225, so if I was in your shoes then for about $1G it would be a nice ride to put together.

Default EG SI HELP!!

I'm buying my first civic and I want an eg si, I think personally eg's look better. I found an eg si in my area and I was just wondering how much you guys think is a good price to pay for it.
Stock motor
Hole in the hood
Driver door sags
Brights, fog, and reverse lights don't work
Leak in AC
Needs new complete breaks
New headers (no name)
Exhaust (from first owner)
I want a fairly stock car and eg si's are hard to come by I don't want to just let this one go.
Thankyou for your time. This is my first post I just joined today

It doesn't leak oil, engine is in great shape. Still pulls strong. I'm just mainly worried about the breaks. Any idea on a good price?

dafuq? There is a "what's this worth" thread, and this belongs in there. There is no tech to this question.
