I thought it idles at around 700-800 rpms. and how does downshifting lower the rpm's??? something dont sound right. maybe i'm just reading it wrong. Good luck on the fix.

Re: STALLING PROBLEMS!!!! (SickSpd06Si)
Trust me I would never have the RPMs go as low as 500 while I'm in gear. It happens while I'm in the process of going from third to second and while I have the clutch in its like the RPMs drop so much that the car dies, and NO I'm not holding the clutch down forever, it happens in a less than a second.
So I disconnected my battery last night and let it idle for 15 mins this morning. I get on the road and drive for about 3 hours total, no problems. Then I'm sitting in traffic for like 15 mins and my CEL comes on...somethings f-ed up. I checked all the fittings and everything is where its susposed to be, no loose fittings, nothing looks out of place and no my intake isnt falling off. I dont know...maybe I should just light the car on fire the car and collect on it
Also one thing that I noticed is that sometimes when I'm down shifting and I have the clutch in for even a second the RPMs do drop really low to like around 500 or alittle less and the headlights flicker, and I know THATS when the car is loosing power and is about to stall.
