Replacement Side mirror!?
Well my uncle mazda 3 was behind my garage so I squeezed in and then I did a reverse to make my car straight and it was too late when I saw that my left side mirror had made a cracking noise. I went to the dealer and they said that they will have to charge me 41.20 for labor and that guy said it shouldn't take too long b/c all he has to do is snap it back on. Also $70 for the part so alltogether its around $120!! I got some pics too it doesn't look too bad it's just the top part is loose. Is it easy to put on a replacement mirror if so I won't have to pay the 42 labor fee.

Mirrors are really easy to replace, take off your interior trim panel, remove the 3-4 nuts (usually 10mm, sometimes 8mm), disconnect wiring, slap new mirror on. Should take about 10 minutes provided you know how to get an interior trim panel off.

Easy for you to say when you know the right steps. If he screws up the clips on the panel or doesnt know how to remove them from the door when they dont come off with the panel then he'll have a half hung door panel and a **** load of rattling. I'm not saying hes not capable, all i'm sayiong is it's not for everyone.
This is where a big percentage of rattles come from in cars. People that dont know how to remove things wind up breaking, cracking , scratching.....blah blah blah. Pay the $40 bucks if you are not 100% sure you can do it.
