How do you tighten the side mirror?
My driver side mirror has gotten a little shaky when I'm driving, it shakes a little bit but is always in the same position when i stop my car. My passagnger side mirror doesn't have this problem. Does anyone know how I fix the mirror so it doesn't shake.
My car: 2001 Accord Coupe
Thanks

What exactly is shaking? The glass itself, the part of the body of the side mirror that folds, or is the whole side mirror loose from the car?
If the whole side mirror is loose off of the car, pop off that corner piece of trim that's opposite of where the mirror is located (three clips if I remember right), there are three bolts holding the mirror onto the car. Tighten them.
If it's the part that bends that is loose, most likely it got hit in the parking lot or something. One of my side mirrors was doing that, would just flop around when driving. Couldn't fix it, the only thing I could do was to buy a new mirror for about $160 (I think MSRP is $200). The good news is that they come pre-painted, it'll be a perfect match to your factory color.
In fact, I've replaced both of my side mirrors ('99 LX). If you do need to replace the mirror, pick up a Haynes manual or a Helms manual, it'll help you take the door panel off which you'll need to do because the plug for the side mirror is behind the panel.

I know this is ancient, and I'm sorry. Now that we have that out of the way..
I am having this problem. ONLY the glass is shaking. Mirror doesn't fold etc etc.
Anyone know a fix?
