Re: (Type-Ek)
care to elaborate on that? i know what rice means but there isn't much difference between the appearance of the two. i am more then likely buying a ex then getting the body parts for the si to put on the ex. i like the ex because of the gas mileage. feel free to enlighten me as to the differences.

Re: (gingee2005)
Seriously now, the Si offers performance. To break it all down:
* 197 HP/139 lbs-ft at crank
* 8000 RPM Redline (5800 VTEC activation, ~6000 you feel it)
* Limited Slip Diff (oh it's sooo fun)
* Firmer suspension
* 6 Spd Tranny
* Less gas mileage than EX
* Body style that is either hit or miss for some. I have appreciation for EX and Si coupe body styles.
I know there's a lot more, but the rest you'll have to feel in a test drive.

Isn't it the other way around? Seriously think about this. Most of the cars that have the nasty wings and body kits are dx's, lx's, etc. The people that get the Si know what it is and can respect a car, thus the reason they got an si over an ex. So sir, please think before you type.
OP: The Si is a performance vehicle and if you put the Si parts, such as the wing, wheels, etc, on an ex, it will look nice, no doubt, but you will be laughed at and possibly hated for being a "poser." These are not my views, just what I have seen from others doing what you are thinking about. Either way, Ex or Si, you can't go wrong. It all depends on what YOU are looking for in a car. Good luck with the decision.

Re: (90CRXLS)
There are several differences. Most of the main ones are listed above. To sum it up quickly, the major differences are bigger/faster motor, upgraded interior and gauge cluster, and exterior additions like the wing and wheels. The EX will have better gas mileage but not by far. The Si will cost probably $2000 over the EX or a little more (probably closer to $3000) depending on markup/insurance etc..

It is a model number. Si is also a model number. The EX is one step down from the Si. It is still full of options but not quite as much as the Si.

take the extra cash that youd spend on an evo or sti and put it in the si, it would smoke em both anyways.
Really though in all reality, the amount of features + power + reliability you get from the SI for the price is uncomparable.

Laugh it up.. Because if anyone is a noob, it's you for making fun of new forum members.
First of all I foiled both of you because I knew Blu By U was joking.. He is a member of 8th civic and has thousands of posts. He obviously knew. I just gave him a dummy answer for a dummy question to see what he'd say. Second, I've been a foum member for years (at a different forum of course) with thousands of posts under my belt. Not that time or posts matters at all.. Just wanted to point out that neither of us are "noobs" regardless of being new members here.

The Si is of coarse not the fastest car on the road but it can handle its own. The ex is a damn good car also, different engine and suspension.
