Cruise Control Master Switch

Cruise Control Master Switch
The master switch to turn on the cruise on my '08 Civic 4 door suddenly quit working the other day. If I push it in, the indicator light comes on, but it won't stay on. If I hold it in, the cruise will work but as soon as I let it go, it shuts off. How hard is it to replace? Thanks.

Re: Cruise Control Master Switch
You need to remove the battery cable first, then use a # 30 Torx bit, to take out the two bolts on either side behind the steering wheel, if you have the wheel centered you can see the torx head bolts on either side behind the steering wheel.
That will let you get at the switch, I can't find any more info in the book I have it must be held in with 1 or 2 screws behind the air bag.
I have had the steering wheel air bag out of my truck many times, it's no big deal, but you do need to take off the battery cable just incase you ground the air bag wire and it go's off.

Thanks for the info. I've yet to look at anything but want to get some insight as to what I need to do...or if I'm even capable.

Make sure you have your radio code before you take the battery cable off, otherwise you will have to go thru a little checking to find it like I did.
