How to take off steering wheel?

How to take off steering wheel?
The light switch broke in my dads EG. and i want to be able to install it for him. But im afraid of deploying the air bags when taking the steering wheel off. But before even trying anything out, id rather ask h-t first.

1) Disconnect the + and - form the battery.
2) Remove the lower access panel from the steering wheel lower cover, then remove hte red short connector
3) Disconnect the connector between the airbag and cable reel.
4) Connect the red short connector to the airbag side of the connector
5) Remove the lib B and cruise control set/resume switch cover
6) Reemove Torx T30 bit bolts then remove the drivers airbag asssembly.
7) Disconnect the connectors from hte horn and cruise control set/resume switch connector
8) remove the steering wheel nut
9) Remove the steering wheel by rocking it from side to side as you pull steadily with both hands.
