Civic in U.K. = Civic in Japan ????
heard they make the same civic differently for U.K. and for Japan. I am going to buy a pre-owned 2008 Civic hybrid. heard cars made for U.K. corrodes quicker than the ones made for Japan. Is this true? Can anybody elaborate on this ......

Re: Civic in U.K. = Civic in Japan ????
Honda of Europe manufactures almost all of the vehicles for that market in England. The remainder are made in Japan and exported to the area. The vehicles are not related in either chassis or drive train with the noted exception being the now deleted Civic Type R, which was made in both countries and only shared the drivetrain. The chassis were completely different. The Japanese Type R was based on the North American chassis, and the UK variant was a hatchback designed in that country. All hybrid vehicles are made in Japan, as well as the Fit.

thanks guys. I tried the web deeply before posting but couldn't find anything solid. made in japan doesn't tell you anything because they make cars in japan for different market segments around the world. made in japan doesn't mean all the civic 1.6's are same because they all mede in japan. anyway, I've changed from Civic hybrid to 2006 CR-V.
