06 Civic Turn Signal Problems
Hi, I have a problem with my 06 Civice and the right turn signal. The signal will blink off and on every now and then without me engaging the signal lever. However all of the signals do work when I use the lever. I would apprecitate anyone who knows what the problem might be or has encountered this problem in the past.
Thanks,
J

Re: 06 Civic Turn Signal Problems
Hi
I believe it is gauge control unit problem. For my experience Honda tech, I have seen only 1 time the problem.
Unlike old model, Honda uses gauge control unit(dash cluster--whatever you called) as independent control unit to do
-maintenance reminder system
-all dash light control system(you can see dimming light function on cluster)
however I should point out, it also can be MICU(multi integrated control unit).
MICU sends signal to gauge control unit to process their order.
How to find problem? You need a tech you can rely on and he can test MICU input test and gauge control self diagnosis.
