2010 Civic no AC
Hey y'all my civic LX AC stopped working. I ran the self-diagnostic feature for the AC and the check engine light blinked 5 times. Does anyone know what this means? I've already checked charge, fuse, relay and compressor/clutch. Posted a video of check engine light after self diagnostic runs.

Re: 2010 Civic no AC
Start here:
Open hood.
Start engine.
Turn on A/C.
Does the condenser fan run?
Does the A/C compressor clutch engage?

Re: 2010 Civic no AC
Yes the fan turns on.
No the compressor does not engage.
I ran the self-diagnostic and the check engine light blinked 5 times.
Example of DTC indication Pattern (DTC 3).
DTC (Re circulation Indicator Blinks) Detection Item
1 An open in the air mix control motor circuit
2 A short in the air mix control motor circuit
3 A problem in the air mix control linkage, door, or motor
4 An open or short in the mode control motor circuit
5 A problem in the mode control linkage, doors, or motor
6 A problem in the blower motor circuit
7 HVAC control unit internal error
8 An open in the evaporator temperature sensor circuit
9 A short in the evaporator temperature sensor circuit.
I'm assuming 5 blinks means item number 5 on the list. I just don't know what that means.

Re: 2010 Civic no AC
You have DTC 5 not DTC 3.
Use the handle end of a screwdriver to tap the compression clutch relay in the fuse box. Does the A/C clutch now engage?
