I am looking to get bulbs for my brothers 2001 honda civic. He said he needs aprox 8 (i dont know why so many). The problem is i dont know what size or type this model takes. If you can also provide a link to ebay or amazon with the exact bulbs i need i would appreciate it. He wants the bulbs to be blue.

Why does he need 8? To my knowledge, there are only 5 bulbs illuminating the cluster. Did he remove it and check? (That would also tell him what type of bulb he needs).

Anyway, if Google is correct, they're #74 (http://www.civicforums.com/forums/10...bulb-size.html). This is a good place for automotive bulbs of any type: http://autolumination.com/74.htm. Be aware that if you replace with LEDs, the light spread will be uneven.

you have to go to the diagram for the car. use hondaautomotiveparts.com or whatever site you want. for my 2001 accord v6 it is under electrical, combination meter(ford) ironic a honda gauge has ford on it. anyways it will tell you the stock part number, just match the specs to vatozone, example the bigger bulbs are "BULB (14V 3.78W) - HONDA (78180-S84-A03)" so the equivalent I think is 158 size bulb

I did read the post dates. The reason I replied is I was searching for bulb sizes for my car and this is a popular hit on Google. Since nobody ever made a good answer on the question I stepped up and explained how to for EVERYONE. This way anybody knows the steps to figure out the bulb size for any bulb in a car. My response will help others that stumble onto this. On car forums if you have a good answer that nobody else posted you should post it however old the thread is. It's basically an unsolved murder case that went cold
