Default P1361 Error Code

I had the error codes checked at Auto Zone and they said it was a P1361 manufacturer code. I looked it up on this forum adn found that it is the "TDC Sensor" intermittent interruption. The car will act like it is out of fuel and lose all power. If you shut it off for awhile it may work for 2 weeks before it happens again. Does anyone know where this sensor is and how to replace? Thanks

Im thinking that its the Crank Position sensor.

It should be on the INSIDE of the timing cover, looking at the right side of the motor. Underneath should be the easiest way to get to it.

Correct me if im wrong.

EDIT: It is the CAM position sensor, located just beneath the camshaft on the right hand side of the motor. heres the info for it: part # 370598 SENSOR ASSY., TDC CYLINDER Retail: 49.32 Wholesale: 36.99

You can get it from <FONT COLOR="red">Here</FONT>. on that page on the exploded diagram, its #13.

you're probably right, ive never had anything to do with the sensor on the d17 lump.
however, i work on Renault trucks and commercial vans and the CSP sensor on those is at the flywheel.

just another posibility...

just thought id say that there is a Service Bulletin out for this code depending on the year and model of your civic, but the fix for it is a new cylinderhead because if the cam has excessive endplay it will throw a p1361 or p1362

Here is the criteria for that bulliten:
Applies To: 2001 Civic EX – From VIN JHMES2...1S000001 thru JHMES2...1S001375
– From VIN 2HGES2...1H500001 thru 2HGES2...1H535885
– From VIN 1HGES2...1L000001 thru 1HGES2...1L040006
– From VIN 1HGEM2...1L000001 thru 1HGEM2...1L028506
if your VIN number falls into one of those categories then this bulliten probably applies to you
