i know in california, and i think the us, you cant do a crv engine cause its a light truck engine and wont pass emisions or ref

Nice swaps :D But why all do you guys use the K20A2 and so on to swap? like i had read, it cost you like 10k ore more! anywhere outa there was a how to K24(out of crv) with K20A head swap in EM2 and it cost him only about 5k with all!
So I´m from europe, the only way to go for me, is to swap in the K24A3 from EDM accord CL9 with acura RSX S head...i ask a engine dealer about the costs for an k24A3 engine. a lil bit over 2000€ would cost me the engine with 20.000km on it, ....so why don´t do k24A swap? it too has much more potential like K20A....

^ do it and you'll see how much it cost you in the end. People who spend 10K or more are spending it on more than the swap itself.
THey add in a nice header, intake, clutch blah blah blah.
all depends on what parts are used in the swap and if they were bought brand new or not.
also, a lot of people did swaps before the frank and k24 swaps were more popular.
Do the swap yourself and see how much you end up spending in the end...then you'll see.

Ähhhm, i have one noop question i think ;-) I´ve never seen a battery in those K swaped engine bays..where do you guys leave them? Is there not enough space in the bay?

Don´t know the laws in USA...but in germany I could use any Honda engine that have the same emissions like stock engine and the engine must be out of the same year of production like the car it self or later. Also 2001 civic with 2000 engine do not work, even if the emissions are the same. but 2001 civic with for example 2001 or later k swaped engine out of crv, accord and so on with same or better emissions, is ok.

Wow thx, realy nice swap! Hope to find some K20 from RSX S too...could be a lil bit sticky in europe ;-) but never say never....K24A3 swap needs another head to pull out some nice power...we will see.

My friend decided it was too much money to do the swap and sat on the motor for like six months. no one wanted to buy it so i offered him $750.00 and he took it now he's calling me an jerk cause i'm almost finished..lol but i told him he could take it for a spin when its done lol...

you can easily do the swap if you work hell, i gave away my turbo kit after dropping almost enough for a k-swap decided the civic will be a DD (and my sisters learner car) while i grab another car

looking into swapping the D17 for the K20.... but ive gotten some high prices on how much a complete swap would run me.. whats a price for a complete swap??
