the problem with using a BLOX CEL eliminator is that theres no room for the o2 sensor to fit down there. because it is extended about 2 inches.

thats where you just get one spark plug defouler, which extends only one inch and works just fine
check it-

get a defouler , screw it in the o2 sensor hole , than screw the o2 sensor into the defouler. it backs the sensor out of the exhaust stream some , thus lessoning its reading and making it think its reading cleaner than what the exhaust is. dont forget to reset your ecu.

Precisely why I do most of my own work. Don't be afraid to get a little dirty! You should find a new shop, though. It sounds like the one you've been using is dickin' ya.

call the cops dude. they are obviously fukin ripping you off and taking advantage of you cause you know nothing about cars. call the cops , tel them they ripped you off blatantly and wont fix the problems they have created. hae to say something so rediculous , but it really pisses me off that shops take advantage of people , any sop or mechanic who gets caught doing this , should have thier license revoked and generally kicked in the *****.

Dude calm down. Calling cops wont do anything. Report them to the guys at your local better buissness buro. As for the Header install.... i gota cheap little sparkplug defouler and tossed it on the bottem sensor. Dident even need to extend the wire any. Also as long as that spark plug defouler is on the bottem sensor all the warnings and crap go away. Nothing better than the smell of pollutants pooring straight into the ozone.

Better becarfull becasue i know in some states your car can be impounded if they find out your running with out a cat. Im lucking in that peublo county colorado doesent require emissions or inspections but i know if i ever go back to virginia il get screwed.

you cant call the cops because a shop didnt remove your catalytic converter the way you wanted them to. it's illegal.

i've understood that, when running exhaust sans catalitc converter the secondary reads too much fuel so the ecu adjusts and leans out, so in truth without a cat, you running lean.</TD></TR></TABLE>

that is correct...the ECU thinks youre detonating

it leans the mixture

Sorry to hear they're still givin' ya the shaft, man. A company has to be a member of the BBB (Better Business Bureau) in order for your complaint to have any real impact. You could try contacting the Attorney General Consumer Protection Division and ask about the legalities of it .. .. .. but your most realistic course of action is to find a better shop! (or learn to do the modification(s) yourself.) Hopefully you'll have better luck next time!
