How to check 2001 Civic DX's ECU code?
I made a research of checking ecu code (i'm newbie). Looks like I need to jump the wires under glove box. But now I got a problem: how to take out whole glove box and the big piece of plastic plate under it?
If you have more details about the jump connection, that would be more helpful. Thank you.

Naaa...its on the front of the glove box, closest to the door. Pull it down, it should look like a male end with 2 pins. Plug a paperclip into each end, making it basically a connection, and turn your key to "on"

Why don't you just take your car to autozone.. they can check your engine light for free and then you can get the very specific code number. Also they can print it out for you with a list of possibilities of what is wrong.

Take it to the local mechanic and talk them into reading it or it's usually a small fee. The quick lube places usually have a reader too.
