Engine and ECU swap help

Engine and ECU swap help
Hi everyone, I own a 2003 Civic EX Auto trans 1.7L VTEC D17A2. I recently picked up a 2002 Civic LX Manual trans 1.7L NON-VTEC D17A1.
For reasons not important to this topic I had to swap the good (D17A2) engine from the 03 Civic into the 02 Civic. I did not swap the transmission
of course, because I wanted the manual trans. So what I did swap was the engine/head, ECU, and ignition. And I ran the wires from the VTEC solenoid
and the EGR valve to the ECU so all of that would work. But now the problem as expected is that I am getting 4 trouble codes and a check engine light
related to the transmission:
P1706 A/T Gear No Position
P1773 Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid Valve B Failure
P1768 Clutch Pressure Control (linear) Solenoid Valve A Failure
P1753 A/T Lockup Sol A Failure
So I am trying to figure out a way around this. The 02 CIvic was a manual trans so it did not have the connector C to plug into the ECU like the Auto trans
car had which is why I am getting all of these codes. Is there an ECU that exists for a manual and VTEC 02-03 Civic? That is what I am trying to find out.
Or is there another way around this that anyone knows of? Can I modify the ECU? Can I take the Auto trans part of the harness out of the 03 Civic and
plug that and all of those sensors into the ECU? LOL. Any advice would be welcome. Thank you!

Re: Engine and ECU swap help
Also, let me follow that up by saying the car is drivable in this state, all the shifts and everything works as it should. But I live in Atlanta, GA and I have to pass emissions to be
able to register the car and drive it legally. To pass emissions there can be no check engine light.

Re: Engine and ECU swap help
All you need to do is get an '02-03 EX manual ECU and plug it in, marry it to the immobilizer and key, and you will be good to go.

JRCivic1, thank you so much for the reply! I mean that is a very simple answer but makes sense. I was not sure if there was a 02-03 EX manual ECU that was also VTEC tbh.
Do you know what the part number for that ECU would be so I can make sure to get the correct one?

Re: Engine and ECU swap help
Would this be the correct part number 37820-PLR-A03
It says its for a 01-02 Honda Civic EX 1.7L
Would that be the correct part number for a VTEC?

Re: Engine and ECU swap help
Yes, that part number will work. Your last two posts on this thread have been typed in a light grey font color and are VERY difficult to read... could you please change back to BLACK so future posts are easy to read ???

JRCivic1, thank you so much for your reply. I will give it a try and follow up. Thanks for the heads up about the font color, I use (Dark Reader) extension for dark mode, so I could not tell my font was gray, sorry about that.
