my dealership charges 75 cents a washer!!!!!!! When i dont have anymore left, i would just flip the washer over and it would work perfectly. But i recently got 18 crush washers off ebay for 2.83

I changed my ES1 oil change about two months ago and I have pictures if you want to use them on this post. PM and Ill get them to you. I took detailed pictures (i.e. filter, crush washer, drain bolt, Mobil 1 Filter and oil, jacks, etc.) I also followed your DIY.

Here's a slideshow of a few pictures I took while changing the oil on my baby. I thought I had way more images but this is all I found in my archives. I hope it helps. Thank you!

I use a S2000 oil filter. It's bigger and fits perfect. It has a lot more filter media in it than any stock size filter.
I also happen to have the filter wrench for it since it's the same size as the original size on my '88 CRX.

btw, why do you support the 3k mile oil change? if im not mistaken, severe driving dictates every 5k and 7.5k for normal driving...
everyone else I know recommends 5k on any synthetic and oils is good for about 8 months, not 3... but I could be wrong on some of this.
I for one have like 10 free oil changed from Acura (they credit me $100for a ****up) since I only pay them like $10 in labor cause I bring in my own oil and filter.
I might change the oil in my civic myself next time. Although it is a hassle for me.

The seals line up? Anyone else confirm this

Re: DIY: Oil Change (With Pictures)
The seal is the same size. Honda also uses the same size seal on the bike I have.
You just have to have room for the larger diameter can. Ten years ago all Honda cars were using the larger diameter cans.

Your stealership charges 75C each washer. I got my only 58 cent each at the dealership. Anyone thought about using Home Depot washer?

I can't remember the last time I put a washer in my oil drain plug lol. Maybe it's time to start doing so. The dealership next to my house charges .99 Where else can I get them for much cheaper?

I've been reusing a nylon washer for several oil changes now. No cracks, leaks, or other problems.
If you still want to buy the crush washers, get them online. They're only .23 cents each before shipping costs.
