Default Coilover Problems and thoughts

I just recently installed my Tein basics. I went and bought new upermounts from honda but found out that i could just take apart the old ones and use that and return the new ones for some cash back. Well i have been riding on theese for a few days now and they are still making a popoing sound when ever i turn my wheel at a stop and at low speeds. How long will this go one for? is it normal? if not what can i do to fix it.

Aside from that i am very please with there performace. Only problem i have is that colorado roads are crap. tons of potholes, bumps and swells. The suspension is now alot stiff that is kinda hurts on alot of pot holes. I dont have my car slammed only droped about 2-2 1/2 all around. I was going to get the teins with the upperpillowball mount but i was told that the ride would be **** and is only ment for hard core suspension aplications. Is this true? or should i have just spent the extra cash and goten them?

Thank yopu all ahead of time and Yes i did search but i couldent find anything that pertained to this. If it is on here soory ahead of time.

This has been answered before. They're not mounted properly, you'll need to take them off and re-seat the springs.

actually, your problem is not that its installed incorrectly, but rather you're using the wrong upper mounts. the upper mounts from the '02-'05 civics have a ball bearing upper mount, and the '01s do not use ball bearings.

i believe you have to use the uppermounts from the 2001 civics. this is the same issue i had with the B&G coilovers.

BUT, i would just recommend you going with the uppermounts from TEIN. i'm not 100% certain that the problem will go away with the 2001 uppermounts, but if you went with the TEIN ones, they're guaranteed to work.

i had the same problem, mine were indexed properly, but still had that popping...

i swapped out to rsx top hats and it went away, or you could get tein pillowball mounts...

but yours could be both installed improperly and wrong top hats...

I noticed today that the skweeking sound comes only from the rear while the poping only comes from the front and only when turning at low speeds. If im moving above 10mph theres no poping. The skweeking only goes away when i hit a pot hole or bump then comes back when i slow down or after a few minutes.

As far as re-seating the springs.... what do you mean by that? taking them off and puting them back on? Also my upper mount is straight from my old stock shocks. Is that the problem? do i need to use the honda mounts i just bought?

Soory toyo if this has been covered. i searched coilovers in the search function and it dident bring up and relevent threads to this.

Thank you all for the help so far as i dont have any money right now and cant aford to take to shop right now.
