Icon6 Suspension Problem Need Help

Hey wats up people...
I've searched on some forums and came across a bit info on this but not much.I drive a 1993 Prelude Vtec to start off....

I've went out of town the last couple of days and man was the ride on some minor dips harsh. When i would go over them i felt like my front suspension was going to break and fall apart as well as my dashboard. Its like a big bang and i felt like not continuing my driving anymore. Its also like this when im in town and i encounter dips or bumps and its driving me crazy. I have a set of Ground Control Coilvers all around that came w/ the car when i bought it and recently installed Spc ball Joints in the front about 1 mnth ago. I have 17's on my car and its lowered to where it sits right on top on the wheels.

When i got back i came back w/ a squeaky noise in the front/left coilover.
I wast thinking of buying a whole new suspension but now i did notice that some people would replace and install poly bushings. So im not sure what i should do now...?Im on a budget of $1,000...
Any advice on this experience or help or suggestions...Thanx in advance!

Ground control are kind of ghetto coil overs. They dont seat correctly usually. Though the loud bang was most likely your car bottoming out. Or rather did you even put the bump stops back in when you installed your suspension?

If they're the OEM struts they're probably shot, lowering a car on stock shocks will cause them to fail, I don't know why anyone still does it.

I will put money on those bullshit SPC adjustable ball joints bottoming out on your body. Look here https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...le+ball+joints
I just months ago went through this exact situation. I put new oem ucas on there and now it drives amazingly.

I know that is what it is because when I would hit a bump with those spc adjustables it would feel like I just ran straight into a curb. They are just too tall for a lowered lude.

Yeah i did hear that these are good on civics. I want something to wear i could slam my car a little more. Not too slammed though. Cuz i might go from 17's to 16's now.

Dude I thought they were too good to be true when I bought them and they were. Cheaper than oem and they adjust camber? I thought sign me up! They just don't mention they do not work well with lowered applications. You know, when you might want the camber adjusting option. Get some oem style upper control arms and you will be golden!

What you smoking Ground Control is solid. Their prices are very competitive, and their good quality. I mean If I had bottomless pockets I would go with tein, but ground control makes good suspension components.
