Default 1.7 engine replacement

So, first off, new here so take it easy. I have spent the last 2 hours trying to find an answer this question and haven't seen anything. I have an 02 civic LX D17A1 I believe. Engine seized looking at a replacement from a 05 1.7 from canada. Is this engine swap going to require an ecu or recoding? I have seen reference to potential for key coding?

As long as the engine you're purchasing is also an LX engine, you'll be fine. The ECU shouldn't need alteration, as long as you're just swapping the engine itself.

key coding IIRC is related to swapping ECUs.
