Brother has a 2001 civic ex, 1.7L, American coupe, automatic, 130k miles. While driving, abs light comes on, followed by dash gauges all zeroing out, followed by engine stall. restart attempt only responds with a staccato ticking. Car starts fine with a jump, or if had been parked normally without stalling.

I believe it to be the starter solenoid, but he thinks it is one of the numerous relays scattered under the dash
