why don't you tuck it yourself, have a body shop do the shaving and painting.

Hey guys. Question. From reading the front page, from my understanding, you can just cut this line that goes to the canister towards the back of the car, and run some kind of rubber hose to let the fumes out. Am I understading this right? I just want to make sure.
Aother thing is I have a stock 00 SI, and my engine harness comes out from under the fuse box. Can I possibly drill a whole towards the middle of my fire wall and run my harness throught there without having to extend it at all? Here is a picture of the canister.

Ok maybe an old question but I searched and got nowhere with varying answers
Chassis is a 97 civic ex coupe which means I still have to be able to pull readiness checks for emissions
So I have my obd2a harness and I'm trying to determine just what plugs I can eliminate from the harness without compromising the obd readiness check test/throwing a random CEL
Opinions/advice? Im also trying to figure out how to cleanly route the grey firewall plug back to where to ecu plugs are, namley how to remove the two dead end plugs and have a clean solder joint for those two plugs, where i can heatshrink them and have the whole engine harness come back to one point so i can get my amphenol connectors wired in
TIA

Preferably where the harness goes from amphenol connector to motor, no return loop

I did read that removing the canister will throw a CEL, but that's no problem because I'm getting an OBD1 ECU. I read that getting the OBD1 ECU will take care of the CEL. As far as the harness goes, if my moving my ECU is what is going to help me not rearing into my harness so be it LOL. I would rather do that than to have to hack into my stock engine harness.
Any other advice you can give to me? This is my first tuck, so I want it to be as smooth as possible

You really should still pull it apart and re-wrap it though. It's set up to come off the right side of the motor, you're really going to have a hard time getting it through the middle without changing up the routing. Also you need to figure out the driver's side portion, easiest just to integrate it into the rest of the harness. If you leave it as is, you'll have to fold it back over the harness or something to make it work.

Yes he is still doing buisness but if you want his work you have to wait for it. Quality takes time.
