Progress - EJ8 coupe
Did some work to my car over this summer and never really posted a bunch of pics on here. So anyway, here it is.
Still a little more work to be done and everything's not properly adjusted yet (that's why she's tall), but I'll probably be lazy for the next few months and focus on the Prelude instead.
Later put the Mugen grille on.
And a couple older photos.
Before the makeover.
Attachment 539151
And a beginning-of-the-makeover shot when the car could barely be driven.
Attachment 539150
I'll try to list down some of the mods, since I never seem to do that.

I like the collection of rare parts but it's really starting to look like a mish mosh of crap...IMO the f/r lips don't flow too well with the stock skirts, the fogs in the side of the front bumper look a tad out of place and the muffler tip hangs too low. But that's just me being picky...it looks great.

Re: Progress - EJ8 coupe
Thanks for the compliments.
Which grille? I like both and I had rocked the EDM one for awhile but got tired of it and I like the chunkiness of the Mugen grille. Plus ever since I got the EDM grille every little noob out there's been asking me what it is and eventually people started figuring out how to buy them. So now I'm seeing stock cars running around with their one mod: the grille.
The hood liner isn't standard in the US or even available. It's from Europe.
The front lip, as mentioned before, is the OEM '98 lip. Pics below from the accessories brochure.
Interesting you mention the sideskirts since those are the sideskirts that go with the kit. I've actually gotten this complaint mentioned a few times before. All '96-'00 coupe/hatch US sideskirts are structurally the same.
The muffler can't really be raised unless I cut the metal hangers, which I'm not really wanting to do. I'd prefer the tip be a bit more to the left if anything, but as I said... The rubber hangers are of the short variety and are already turned inward and diagonal in order to mount the muffler. There is no way to move where the tip currently sits without cutting the metal hangers or bending them, which could cause more problems with mounting. It's already tight in there.
The part seems pretty quality to me. I've seen Eran go through a LOT of exhausts and he's had tons of problems with some of them. At least I don't think we'll ever have to deal with another Skunk2 exhaust in this house, nor any straight pipes. And of course no GreDDy mufflers. There's just not very many mufflers that I like the look and sound of.
This piece is solid and sound, plus, one of my number one concerns: it's quiet! It's quieter than the ARC box and quieter than my stock mufflers ever were.
This wasn't the muffler I was initially looking for, but the muffler I was hoping to find just was not coming up. I was even told by one company that they'd only seen one in something like ten years. No one else even mentioned ever getting one in stock. Plus I heard reports it was loud. I loathe loud exhausts.

Re: Progress - EJ8 coupe
Thanks again.
I always liked the big H. I just like that it's so big and in your face, especially when there's so many people just plain removing the emblem. For some reason I prefer the EDM grille with the US lights than the CTR lights.
I was a little iffy on the mag blue at first... Loved them, but wasn't sure what I'd think of it on red. Turned out I loved it. Still not set on the headlights though. I keep thinking I miss my US ones, but I still have them around.
Added a parts list for those who are curious and since I never really made one. I'm sure I missed something, but I tried to list a lot that I at least get questions on.
