Official Ebay Coilover Thread
You know what's funny is that even if you have like 10 dollar lowering springs, if you take a picture it'll never look bad, cause noone knows how it rides! XD
been there done that with ebay coilover sleeves blue my lame tokico blues after about 6 months well the rears only lol. i installed them correctly to only tightening the the bolts with weight on the suspension etc..... it looked good but the ride was shitty. love my progress springs though.
The maxspeed coilovers are still working well on my old civic paired with some koni sports and custom extended top hats. They're probably at least 10 yrs old now... wow.
Anyone have any experience with ebay lowering springs on stock struts? Also how about some rides with a moderate drop? I'm guessing the slammage has something to do with a lot of these coilovers riding like hell.
Dont know what brand they are, but they were some real cheap ebay crap coilover sleeves.
I had them on my car for 2 weeks before I hit a bump on the highway at 70mph, and the car bottomed out, pushed the spring perch all the way down the shaft and stripped the threads. Drove home with my front wheels rubbing in the wheel wells.
Took them off that day, threw them in the garbage and put OEM back on. I was pissed.

Worst drop I've ever run in my life. This, being said by a former minitrucker.

I put OEM back on it, but ended up trading that car for my old '91 SE, which is dropped on 1.75" Tanabe springs. Nice mild drop, daily driver friendly and still retains a nice compliant ride, even on the (flame suit)....OEM struts.
Also known as the "Official shitty parts thread"
I would NEVER put ebay coils on my car. its dangerous to have an important part of your car to be crappily made

Yup. Sometimes you have to learn the hard way, even when people tell you beforehand.
Since I have now experienced what absolute crap parts like those are, I'm one of those guys that runs around and screams "you'll die! you'll die!"
