Well, the car should be going in for paint to a member on here within the month. It's gonna get a fresh respray of Jasper Green Metallic, the color that lies beneath the Bristol Beige. Honestly, the paint doesn't look half bad, it's just having mismatched interior/jambs/bay that pains me. If I redid for example white on a white car, I think I'd be more happy with the outcome.
Despite me having the car repainted, I'm not at all regretful about doing the project. I learned ALOT, and will be able to use this knowlegde on future projects.

Re: (fventura03)
I know, I know. I like the color I have now ALOT, but the only way I'll have any resale value is if it's a solid color. I don't have the time to strip everything, this is my only car. I'm trying to clean it up and make a decent amount of money on the sale.
We'll see tho

This thread is ******* hillarious.. You spent a solid, painstaking 14 days of your life.. How many hours do you think? At least 100? If you were just sitting working at Taco Bell for $7/hr - you could have made $700, taken home $500 after taxes and dropped it off and had it sprayed at Maaco in half a day.
Props for ingenuity cause I think you have heart - but heart doesn't count in a project like paint.
LOL @ going back and painting it back Jasper

Well, I guess that's one way to look at it. However, the beauty of this project was that my time is free, so there wasn't much loss at all. And taco bell is a little low for my standards.

I've seen it done before in the $50 paint job thread without a garage for sure, you might wanna wait till summer or spring depending on where you live, because temperatures below 40* are bad for drying the paint.
Also, check your forecast for rain.

<FONT SIZE="6">DAY ???</FONT>
Just read my whole thread again, I haven't owned the car anymore for a few months, but just wanted to check in with the thread again. The paint job was definitely an experience, I wouldn't recommend it to everyone, but if you love to DIY, and want to save a few bucks, go right ahead, I definitely learned alot and saved some $$$. Don't expect a perfect, or for that matter near perfect paint job though. It will definitely have it's flaws and drive you crazy if you are a perfectionist, like myself. One last pic of her, a few months after the paint, in all her glory. God do I miss this car, did all the work myself, made her mine.
