I think it has to do with the style of the cars and the way the thread was presented.
the cars are don't really have any of the racing traits/characteristics that we all find appealing. they are just for looks, from what i can see (lowered beyond function, big heavy rims, etc.).
the thread seemed like one designed to promote a switch from honda to vw, even though it appears to be nothing more than a creative title. i have noticed that such creativity is not very well recieved here, but what should i expect? it's honda-tech.

my bro owns a VW and i own a Honda. i dont hate VWs and he doesnt hate Hondas. we actually love both. we are "car enthusiasts" not, "i like this brand and i hate the other". anything imported is a

I'm an enthusiast as well, I like hondas and VWs. In fact, I like hot rods too 
I actually like just about every style or make of car there is, as long as its tastefully done. Hate on my car if you want, I really don't care, either you honestly don't like the it for legitimate reasons, or you are close minded.
But, if you do like it, I'd love to talk to ya about it, I have lots of fun with mine and have a lot planned.

Its beyond me why people actual take the time to post ghey as topics like this. I like the R32 but its ridiculously over priced. GTi's are nice but kinda heavy for my tastes. vw's have really nice interiors. my roomate has a 2k2 jetta. i dont really like the outside looks that much, but the control pannel lights up nicely and is pretty ergonomic.
but i wouldnt trade my teg for a jetta. hell my base model teg makes 140hp out of a 1.8 while his makes 115(?) out of a 2.0. wheres that superior german engineering now?

that's wassup...... i wanna try to get a vr6 lip for my golf to, as long as i'm able to afford the golf and the civic.
i also think that a lot of people forget that oldskool dubs can be hybrids and be just as fast as a gsr hatch and if the gearing in the vr6 was more closer it would probably be faster
