How to remove paint from your valve cover?
Well how do you do it????? I just got my VHT and i wanna get sprayin. Paint thinner dip? Thanx in advance

try paint stripper , just spread it on and let it sit a few minutes. should wipe right off. Make sure you have all the gaskets off though , probably not to good for them.

"Aircraft" paint stripper.. I think it was at Kragen/Autozone.
This stuff works really well.
Spray it on, let it sit a few minutes, and then wipe/scrape the paint off.. just dont get it on your hands...

No need to wipe or scrape, just hit it with the water hose

like everyone said..."AIRCRAFT Paint stripper" worked AWESOME...literally ate away paint within a matter of seconds..and then just a few minutes later i was able to run it with water and everything just dissapeared!

Yeah, when I said scrape, I just was thinking of when I did mine, and I used a putty knife to kinda "push" a bunch of the released paint off of the valvecover. I used a hose later, but I got the big flat spots clear with a rag and the putty knife.

That stuff is killer, I still have a patch of dead grass from where I used it roughly a month ago, and it probably took less than 4 minutes to eat through my rubber gloves
This stuff works really well.

pressure washer works AMAZING. i used one the past weekend, at 2000psi, and it tore every inch of paint right off it
