Color Transition at Front Fender and Door seam...
I've seen the usual black hood scenario and currently have a flat black hood on a 5th gen (92-95) civic hatchback that is Milano Red.
I am currently stripping parts from a black 5th gen coupe and I started thinking. If I transplant that hood, front fenders and bumper onto the hatch, it could end up looking a bit different from the typical hatch ricers most everyone has seen rolling around.
At first it will look like a home repair job from a front end accident.... But the thought is decals on the doors in black to "blend" the black into the red.
I wanted to get some ideas of what would look decent besides the over used all black flame licks.
For whatever reason I'm coming up with a brain fart. The only part that seems to stick in my head is whatever will need to stretch most of the door before petering out to look appropriate.
Pitch your ideas and I'll see what I can come up with. There is a couple of decal places that could easily produce two decals in the same glossy black of the coupe.....

Zero response.....
Here are some rough pics demonstrating the whole thing including a very rough concept idea. Looking at the rough concept, it doesn't seem right but it does try and transition the colors:
Typical hood paint or swap seen most everywhere on more than just Honda's and what I have now due to circumstance (wife didn't want the black hood so she took my red one).
Afer full fender, hood and bumper swap and the awkwardness of it.
Highlight of the transition awkward area, how painful that line in the sand is.
And a basic attempt at a transition idea, still looks off but does look less "awkward".
Ideas are welcome. This is a short term "fix" as I eventually do plan on getting the body cleaned up and do a full paint job of one coat milano red with blue pearl. I have the stock glossy black parts already so decals will let me use them without the awkward look and feel of a bad repair job.

That still looks like a huge transition and the 2 graphics are not blending it any better.
Using decals to blend it i would say have a decal from the entire gap of the rear of fender/front of door to end 1/2-3/4 on the door.
Edit: this is what i was thinking.
A VERY rough sketch of what i meant.
Or the good old flame look.
Or you can use a Belgium flag to blend it.

Also, you will need a damn good sealer, probably tinted to the milano red if you want the entire car to look the same shade of red.
What color did you spray that can over kelso?
I did a black bmw bumper the other day for some guy, took 2 cans of oem color to get coverage and 1 can of clear.
Rattle canning the front end will still be a different shade even if it is a factory match color. But will look better than all black.
