From 10 months ago, looks only slightly better now..
Went with high comp lugs, love them.
Bay is so ugly, but you can see the pass-thru under the extremely rusty fuel fitler.

Re: Battery Relocation Pic Thread
I've read all 18 pages but still uncertain about a few things...
For road racing (car is NOT a dd) do I need a dry cell battery if mounted in the trunk? Or can I run a conventional battery (optima) with an enclosed box and a vent tube venting outside?
Do I need a cut off switch? Are these mandatory for trunk mounted batteries? The only racing I will be doing are open class road racing. Nothing competitive for points. Just open day racing and hpde's. But I don't want to get to the track and be denied access.
Thanks for the info. Great thread

Battery box was placed behind the passenger seat to centralize and lower the weight. The Odyssey battery weighs 37.5 lbs (~10lbs heavier than a stock 51R battery). The car will be primarily a drag car for 2012, but I still like to auto-x and do road course events so I didn't want to put the weight up front.

In terms of OTS units, the Taylor boxes are the most space efficient and come in the best variety of sizes for smaller spaces (as opposed to the plastic boxes). The bad part is that they're aluminum and conductive so you have to use an insulator on the positive terminal and be careful when charging the battery.
