Default What kind of sensor is the camshaft position sensor?

Hello!

I am doing some research for work on our 2009 Honda Accord. I see when I will replace my camshaft position sensor, I can use the Denso 196-2005. Does anyone know what kind of sensor this is (magnetic, Hall effect, optical, etc.)? Has anyone ever used a oscilloscope to monitor the crankshaft and camshaft together?

Thanks,
Matt

I believe it's magnetic.
