Starting problem
2007 accord 4 cyl automatic 55 k miles
I have been having mysterious starting issues:
every 50 or so starts, turn to crank it--- dash lights all come on like supposed to but nothing when I crank it, flick key back do it again and she cranks and starts. ( all battery terminals and wires have been checked and rechecked for corrosion/loose). The battery checks out as OK with a load test, could it be the cold crank amps are just barely enough? This happens at all temperatures: winter, summer, etc.
Battery:
CCA at O degress: 450 at 32 degees 560 , it's the stock sized battery for the car, new 9 months ago.
Could it be it's just barely enough "oomph" to turn the starter over?
I just can't believe at 55 k miles this car needs a starter.

Re: Starting problem
I had the exact same issue at 104K. All the electronic gizmos(power windows, radio, lights) worked fine but no ignition. My car was a manual so I could do the old push start and car would work fine. Battery checked out fine. The Honda service center tells me that the starter is the one that needs changing. I am honestly surprised that a car at 55K needs a new starter.
