Default Replacing 2003 radio - Tips or Tricks?

Hey everyone, I am looking to replace a bad headunit in an 2003 Accord Coupe. It is a friend of mine's so i do not know what it looks like. I know many cars have weird tricks to get old unit out. Can anyone give me a copy of the Chilton or Helm's manual to replace this radio? Or, can someone give me the play by play on the easy way? I tried searching the history and found nothing. IF there is a thread out there...maybe someone can help?

Thanks!

Aside from getting the console pieces pulled out, its a straight forward swap. Just make sure you don't yank to hard, some of the retaining clips are a bit fragile.

OK, it was done today. Pretty difficult at first. Getting all the peices out where not bad. The hard part is getting the pocket (with the silver fold up door) out of the hole. It took a little while and may have encountered a slight scratch...no biggie.

Here is something someone sent me after I alreday did it, so maybe it will help others!

to remove radio from 03/04 accord:
push hazard flasher switch all the way in and this will uncover a slot
in the bottom. using a flat screwdriver push down in this slot to
release the center catch. use a hook or pick tool to reach into the left
and right corner of the vents and pull out. when the bottom is loose you
can grab the vent assy and remove it. remove the 3 screws across the top
of the radio. remove the trim around the shifter. remove screws to take
out the ash tray / lighter bracket, there are a total of 6 screws.
gently remove the package assy from under radio. the door must be closed
when removing to avoid breaking part of it. reach under radio about 7
inches there are 2 screws going up into the rear of radio. the entire
radio and display will now pull out. unplug wires and antenna. take out
2 screws on each side of radio and bend metal tab out of the way to
unplug radio from display

Hope this helps everyone else!!
