radio stopped working in 2004 Hona Accord.....was making cracklin noises when die
2004 Honda Accord 4-door Sedan......Radio and CD player stopped working after hearing off and on crackling sounds......like there was a "short" somewhere. Can't find any info about a recall by Honda and can't locate anyone in No Jersey who wants to "fix it"...they all want to sell up an upgrade. Honda will replace it for $1200. but that a little much for a 14 year old car.

It's a common problem. Best to get a normal radio/cd player (got mine for $10 used) and install with this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Single-Din-...ZaX4bA&vxp=mtr
You need to keep the original radio connected for the HVAC lights to work. That's why you need the split wiring connector.
