On my moms 06 accord navi screen it says please insert disk or somthing like that and she cant use the big screen at all she has to look at the litte one up on the dash but she has cleaned the disk somtimes everything works fine i fig she just needs the updated disk ? My buddys in parts at honda told me i should get it from some web sight? im just wondering what yall have done.

has anyone seen this problem before ,before we buy the $100 disc and it not fix it

All 06/07 Accords including Hybrids(there is a bullitin on this) had a software update for the navi for, disc errors and Daylight savings time as well as read errors...The dealership will have the discs to update the software in the navi unit itself, no hardware replacement will fix it. Check there first. Also if there are ANY and i mean the slightest scratch or dirt on the disc the navi unit will not reard it. then you will have to buy a new disc.
