Honda Accord Hybrid AC Issue

Honda Accord Hybrid AC Issue
So it seems like for my AC, the air only runs cold when the car is in motion.
Any stop and go driving, driving in a parking lot, or just idling, the ac blows essentially hot air. It's pretty uncomfortable....
I've tried all the various settings on the car, turning off eco mode, putting climate on LOW, etc
Is this normal or is there an issue with the AC? I have a 2015 Accord Hybrid.
Thanks

No, it is not normal. Probably low on refrigerant due to a leak somewhere. Since you probably would still be under warranty, refer the issue to the dealer.

Re: Honda Accord Hybrid AC Issue
I took it to the dealer and they claim that this is normal. I dont trust them though. They claim the ac compressor will only be on when the wheels move and that this is to save power/gas. That logic doesn't make sense to me as the ac comp is powered by electricity. Maybe try another dealer i guess. Any other Accord Hybrid owners have this issue?

Re: Honda Accord Hybrid AC Issue
Yes they are lying in my opinion. if car only has cooling while moving then
1. Either Condenser is bad
2. Comp is weak
3. Refrigerant is not at appropriate level
Eliminate the 1 by putting a fan or put water on condenser in front of standing car when its not cooling. If it starts cooling then it means there is problem with heat exchanger
Eliminate 2 and 3 by putting your car in park P then raise the rpms if cooling starts by raising the rpm them comp or Gas is not at level
