Could this be the main relay?
My 2009 Accord intermittently locks itself, disconnects from the radio and clock. Everything has to be reset. It also on occasion, doesn't start, as if the battery is dead. But it's not. It will start perfectly fine if tried again. Someone told us it could be the main relay.....

Re: Could this be the main relay?
No, it unlikely to be due to the main relay. The car has to main relays, main relay 1 and main relay 2; regardless, it is most likely not due to these relays.
Check the battery terminals, connections and cables. Also get the battery tested.

Yes it could be main relay #1.
Ive had to replace a few in both the Accord and TSX (0'4-0'6) for this and other issues. They all shared the same common symptoms: P0685 stored in the PCM and occasional stalling.
If that code is not stored and you have not experienced stalling, then suspect a poor battery ground(another repair Ive done a few times)
***If the main relay is the problem,do not use aftermarket relays, they dont work very well and you may get the same symptoms in a few months. Buy the relay from Honda***
