ok so i'm gonna change my rear o2 sensor on my 03 accord I4,
what tool exactly do i need? just a wrench is enough? is the sensor located in some retarded spot where i need some special tool to reach it?
as for the sensor it's direct fit one, no need for any cut or custom work.
how far is the harness located?
mind you that i don't have my own space at home and it's full of snow outside. im borrowing this indoor spot for an hour for the job and i don't wanna end up with missing tool or any kind of surprise that i can't deal with..

if i understand correctly, the step would be, i lift the car, unplug the harness(assuming it's located somewhere reachable), and unscrew the sensor and put the new one back in.

am i understanding right?

just jack it up or put it on ramps it should be a 7/8 rench i could be wrong and yes it is that simple some are actully wierd to the harness so you may have to re wire it but i know you have to have a solder gun shrink tube your all good

ok, my attempt for today failed. and here are my reasons
1) the sensor itself is screwed way too tight on the cat and i couldn't loosen it from the tiny space under the car.
2) i couldn't reach the harness. it was located somewhere between the carpet and the floor right below the passenger seat. i had no tool or time to take off the seat and the carpet..

first when i realized that i can't reach the harness, i thought of just cutting the wires and rewire them with the new one, but then when i tried to loosen the sensor, i failed at it.. so i had to give up.

so yea i called my mechanic and he told me that usually the o2 sensor on the cat is really hard to loosen. and he's gonna have to heat it up in order to loosen it.
and that's something i can't really do myself with what i have.. so i'm gonna have to bring it to the garage..

Save yourself the money and buy a sensor from Honda.

Honda sensor not neccessary as Honda doesn't make their own sensors, you can get a Denso or NGK sensor outside of the Honda dealer. How many miles does your car have by chance? 80k miles free replacement from Honda, keep that in mind.
