2005 Accord Electrical Issue
Hello Group
I have a tricky issue, electrical issues are always fun when they are intermittent.
We have a 05 4 door LX with the 4 cyl engine.
Driving down the road and the dash radio etc lose power for @ 2 to 3 seconds and it comes back on, it is as if you turn the key off, BUT the car keeps running. Wife took it to local auto parts store and then performed test of the electrical system, starting voltage and alternator output are fine, but the "mechanic said the battery should be replaced (290 cca out of 460). I took the battery out and brought it down to the same parts store (wife brought it the first time) and the parts guy said it checked out fine (436 cca). I put the battery back in after cleaning the terminals (some corrosion probity accounting for bad reading). Wife drove the car again and said it is still happening.
- Car was brought into the dealer (first time since we have owned it) and they performed the recall to prevent the main bearing from being damaged if you attempt shift car into gear from Neutral too fast. Has been about 4 weeks since update
- @ 2 week later car sputters and bucks after starting at a light, I trough some injector cleaner in the tank hasn't had a issue since.
- Wiggling the key while driving does not replicate the issue.
- Road is not bumpy when this happens
Does any one know exactly what they do for this recall? Do they plug into diagnostic port or do they remove the computer to flash it. Wondering if some one didn't plug it in correctly .. Any Ideas where it is?.

An help will be greatly appreciated.

Re: 2005 Accord Electrical Issue
Sounds like a ground issue. Check and repair/replace your grounds. Usually the one going from the block to the radiator support is the first one to go.
